It's been a busy year. I've worked on 7 shows and spent more time at a recording studio than I ever have before. I've sang more Abba than I ever wanted to, but I'm hoping that I'm given other things to record next year.
I'm already working on 4 shows for next year. I get to be a director, music director, vocal director, and involved with the making of props. Theatre has taken over my life in ways that I never expected, but it's been an enjoyable journey so far.
I also get to see more theatre. Last week I saw The Prom, Kinky Boots, Avenue Q, and The Play That Goes Wrong. All of them were wonderful in different ways, and The Prom was much funnier than I expected. Hopefully I'll get to see Company in London in the New Year.
I'm still studying, though it's hard for me to find time to write essays. I will persevere and try not to be too hard on myself when it takes longer than I want to get the work completed. I will keep working on my voice and hopefully it continues to improve.
I'm looking forward to 2019. There are still many things for me to achieve, but I will continue on my journey, day by day, and who knows what the year will bring.
